KAREN CALDICOTT (illustrator)

This lady found a sweet market for doing what she loves. You know how some magazines have drawings or photos of their contributors and/or subjects? Well, Karen Caldicott, to my knowledge, is the sole magazine illustrator (for big titles like Rollingstone and New York Magazine) who sculpts said celebrity portraits. Wow!

KEVIN KALLAUGHER (political cartoonist)

Kevin Kallaugher, editorial cartoonist for the The Economist magazine.

New York Sketches

This guy is ambitious. Wants to draw every person in NY. However, he tends not to stray too far from the Taco Bell crowd.

Fun idea though. And not a bad habit to form: carry a little sketch book with you always, and do some sketches/caricatures of the peeps you see. (Also advocated by political cartoonist for the Economist Kevin Kallaugher.)

Photography

I found this artist encouraging to the work I want to do with photography if I continue with my balloonish- make believe scenarios.

Welcome!

To keep it short:

Feel free to post links to any artist's website (go ahead - self promotion's okay) with some helpful keywords specifying medium (i.e. "INTAGLIO," "MIXED MEDIA") and any other information viewers might find helpful and/or interesting.

If an artist doesn't have his/her own website (i.e. Albrecht Durer), you can leave a link to some collection of their work (Durer at the Library of Congress).

Be sure to include labels (to help with search results) and have fun browsing. Thanks for reading and helping out!
